This overview outlines how to use the Edit Shipment screen in AtlasNet to manage shipment details, finances, reports, notes, agents, customer information, and services.

Purpose:
Serve as the central hub for viewing and updating all shipment-related information to ensure accurate operations, proper documentation, and timely revenue processing.

Key Areas:

  1. Accessing the Edit Shipment Screen:

    • Planning Manager → click Order Number

    • Dispatch Screen → shipment search

    • Shipment Screen → shipment search

    • Trip Manager Screen → select Order Number

  2. Key Functions & Sections:
    a. Financial View

    • Access via Related Links → Pre-Rating View

    • Provides shipment info, origin/destination, weight, mileage, estimated charges

    • Three key tables:

      • Invoice Distribution – revenue breakdown (line haul, fuel surcharge, etc.)

      • Payable Distribution – who gets paid (Atlas, booker, hauler, agent, corporate rebates)

      • Participant Distribution – payable amounts grouped by agent or driver code

    b. Reports

    • Found in top-right Reports dropdown

    • Example: Dispatch Ticket – driver instructions, inventories, bill of lading

    • Options include blank BoL, header only, or extended version with actual weights

    c. Notes

    • Tracks automatic notifications and manual updates

    • Add notes with categories (e.g., “Order,” “Delay Location”)

    • Example: Shipment delayed due to snowstorm → prevents penalties

    d. Shipment Overview

    • Displays shipment number, trip number(s), call mode (Undecided → Self-Haul, Atlas Haul, etc.)

    • Customer info: name, account (COD, corporate, gov’t, RCMP, etc.)

    • Weight & mileage (estimated vs. actual) – always update actual weight & save

    • Pricing info: tariff, pricing method, estimate code (actual, flat rate, guaranteed %, etc.)

    • Dispatch remarks: key driver instructions (e.g., bulky items, access restrictions, required supplies)

    e. Agent Information

    • Lists booking agent, salesperson, CSR, origin & destination agents

    • Click Info icon for addresses/phone numbers

    • Search tool: find closest agent by city/postal code (shows distance & quality awards)

    f. Images / Documents

    • Access under Shipment Links → Images

    • Includes estimates, inventories, BoLs, COD receipts, ASPODs, etc.

    • Use Multi-View to generate PDFs of multiple documents

    g. Origin & Destination Info

    • Shows shipper name, addresses, contact info, primary & secondary contacts/emails

    • Driver info (once assigned) displayed at top

    • Email fields must be split into primary & secondary (cannot use semicolons)

    h. Services & SIT

    • Services View → add or view services (e.g., shuttle, labor)

    • Required fields marked with *

    • SIT (Storage in Transit) → enter dates, status, SIT agent → click Create SIT

    • Often tricky; Atlas Operations & auditors double-check

    i. Change Summary

    • Logs shipment creation, updates, haul decisions, and user IDs for accountability

  3. Reminders:

    • Always update actual weight and save

    • Use Dispatch Remarks for all key driver instructions

    • Upload/view documents in Images

    • SIT setup can be finicky → Atlas Operations will assist if needed

    • Notes help clarify delays and prevent penalties
