Hello Agency Family,
Please see below an important update from Hansen’s regarding fuel surcharge on DND moves:
“Historically, we have subsidized a portion of the fuel surcharge on DND moves, in some cases as much as 40%. Over the last several years, CP has increased our rates substantially, though we have only partially passed on to our Mover customers; as a result, our margins on rail-related DND moves have eroded to the low single digits, which is not sustainable.
The current fuel surcharge is set at 12.06%. Effective Monday May 19th, 2025 this will increase to 21.55%, in line with fuel surcharge being charged across our various sectors.”
