This overview provides Atlas agents and crews with best practices for safely packing and transporting TVs during moves.

Purpose:

  • Protect TVs from damage and scratches during packing, loading, and transport.

  • Ensure a smooth reassembly and setup at the delivery location.

Key Steps:

  1. Unplug and Detach Accessories:

    • Disconnect all cables (HDMI, power, audio).

    • Remove TV stand or wall mount if possible.

    • Label each cable for easy reassembly.

  2. Protect the Screen:

    • Cover the screen with a large foam sheet or original dust cover.

    • Avoid bubble wrap directly on the screen to prevent marks.

  3. Wrap the TV:

    • Use a moving blanket or furniture pad with the screen facing up.

    • Fold sides over the TV and secure with packing tape.

  4. Place in a Sturdy Box:

    • Use the original box or a heavy-duty flat-screen TV box.

    • Fill gaps with foam or packing peanuts to prevent movement.

  5. Label the Box:

    • Mark as “Fragile” and indicate which side is up.

    • Include TV model and serial number for easy identification.

  6. Transport Carefully:

    • Keep the TV upright during transport.

    • Avoid placing heavy items on top of the box.

Key Takeaway:
Following these steps protects the TV, reduces risk of damage, and ensures easy reassembly, contributing to a professional and efficient moving experience.
